Dallas | Texas
Exploring the city I've called home for over 13 years like a tourist was very refreshing. A friend was visiting and although the clouds were still ominous and the ground damp, we ventured out for the day. We enjoyed brunch at Saint Ann and visited the Samurai Collection upstairs while waiting for our table.
Post brunch cocktails a block away at the Happiest Hour were both refreshing and hurried as a Stars hockey game was scheduled for later in the evening; escaping the growing crowd, we left to view the Dallas skyline from the rooftop Soda Bar at NYLO Dallas South Side.
We Ubered across the rain-swollen Trinity and explored Trinity Groves (where I rediscovered an old love, Kate Weiser Chcolate) and strolled the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge while taking in the sweeping vistas of the city. We eventually traversed back across the Trinity where we ended with this spectacular sunset view from Reunion Tower.
Something I learned that day is if you are open, you can always see the world from a different perspective and will undoubtedly find a new appreciation for it.
Dare to find something new in the familiar and live your best life!
